Dr. Richard Konteh, Ambassador Osman Foday Yansaneh among other dignitaries have today (Friday 10 September) joined the Kamakwie Old Students Association (KawOSA) in honour of an invite to celebrate the Sixtieth (60th) Anniversary of the Kamakwie Wesleyan Secondary School in Kamakwie.
The Kamakwie Wesleyan Secondary School, according to a testimony given by Rev. Joseph Y. Konteh, was established by the Wesleyan Mission of Sierra Leone in September 1961. And Ambassador O. F. Yansaneh who attended the Kamakwie Wesleyan Secondary School in the 60's he said, became the first son of the soil to serve as a principal of the school in 1977.
Dr. Richard Konteh whom he described as a 'big boy' had served under the leadership of Amb. O. F. Yansaneh as one of the youngest vibrant teachers of the said school in the early and late 80's.
Owing to his outstanding contributions to the development and progress of the Kamakwie Wesleyan Secondary School over the years, Dr. Richard Konteh was invited by the Old Students to celebrate the Sixtieth Diamond jubilee with them and was honoured to award certificates of merits to deserving individuals for their supports to the school.
As a show of profound appreciation, the old boys of the Kamakwie Wesleyan Secondary School, including Amb. O. F. Yansaneh thanked Dr. Richard Konteh for the love and care he had demonstrated and has continued to demonstrate to the Kamakwie community. The KawOSA family they said would forever be grateful to him.
Dr. Richard Konteh in gracing the occasion, made some financial and material contributions to the school.
